Althaholism Flaring Up.

Its like its a disease. I can go into remission for a bit, but it always seems to come back. Recently, I have found myself a little bit burned out on running Heroics. This makes my patience for said Heroics almost zero. Fucktards will cause me to leave 100 percent of the time. Shitty instances that I dont feel like running will make me abandon group and log onto something else.

So, to combat this, I have been playing alts a bit. Today, my wife and I got out Hunter/Priest combo to level 56/55 respectively. I am still wondering what to do with the priest once he hits 60. In all likelyhood, he will just never be played again. Once my wife hits 60 (and gets exalted with Gnomeregan as a Night Elf, shudder), I will begin leveling either my mage or Rogue with her.

I also started a Horde Warrior/Priest combo on my sister's Horde server. I got them to level 7 in very limited play time and an going to do my best to bribe my sister into power leveling me to 60. I dont mind the climb after that, but 1-60 is an annoying pain in the ass.

Has anyone else started to get sick of running around on your 80s and started playing with your lowbies?

I surely have been sick of running heroics, hence why I have been on my horde server leveling alts, I got my horde rogue to 70, priest to 67 and hunter is almost 40. I got the leveling gear so yeah, easy peasy. I wont mind power leveling you, with the friend account thing that should be way easy. I can run with the gear I have on my paladin through ramps and blood furnace without trouble so, win - win?

Oh and what are the names of your toons so I can send you some starting gold?

After picking up the last couple of pieces for my hunter that I needed (after being away from the game since September), I started grinding out my old main Paladin his healing set. He had full Naxx25 gear, which was dated, and is now in his T9 stuff. However, now he needs his T9 tanking stuff, so the grind has started for that too.

Needless to say, I have been getting more and more tired with running heroics, and I too leave group if it is something I don't like (OK being my least favorite). I have started a mage, now at 36 with 290 tailoring and 250 enchanting.

I know exactly how you feel.

I currently am infected with altaholism pretty bad. Part of it is the need to learn about more classes so I can be a more effective raid leader and part of it is just having an escape from leading raids.

Yeah I run into the same thing on my warrior. I don't need the emblems for my main set so where is the real need to stay in a group that is just pissing me the hell off? The only toon I have left to fall back on is my 74 DK on a horde server. I love playing him but 80% of the time I'm the highest dps in the group... as a tank.

I started my first Horde character last week. A tauren Druid. Although I have played around with Horde Characters, I never got one past lvl 20. May be the same for this one

I just play one of the 5 or 6 STEAM games I got over the holidays or log out man.

I cant handle the alt shit anymore its too annoying and the PUGers are too damn stupid pre level 80

Maybe it's because I've only been 80 for a couple of weeks, but I'm having a blast running heroics. Sure, I've been in a few fails, but I've also picked up tons of gear and am still learning, so I guess I'm not the best example.

However, I do hop on my lvl 14 Belf Mage as a colldown after dailies and Heroics on my main. It's nice to be able to nuke things from orbit after spending a few hours slogging through as a groundpounder.

The voices... like pin pricks in my mind... they won't leave me alone. DAMN YOU ALTS TO HELL!

I've always had altaholism, but I'm quickly running out of lowbies. My death knight is 68, mage is 70, rogue is 72 and hunter is 38.

I haven't had much trouble with lower level instances, other than running slave pens 5 times in a row. That gets a bit monotonous.

Yup, definitely Altaholism kicking in for me as well. Three 80's+daily heroics+weekly raid quest+ICC 10+ToC 25+on one toon ToC 10+Ony 10+ICC 25 = BURNING HATRED FOR 80'S.

So warrior (14), rogue (37), hunter (30), mage (67), paladin (73), and even Horde warlock (41) have all seen playtime these past few weeks.

I'm gonna wait until Cata to level a Worgen Mage. Got too many alts anyway and too little time to concentrate on them.

I got sick of running around on my 80 about a year and a half ago. I've been playing a slew of alts every since. I don't even like the thought of getting toons up to the level cap any more. Once I get one into the 70s they very quickly become stale and I don't even like logging into them unless I know I'm going to be farming old world content or mats, running people through instances, or selling my services to make some gold.

I was gonna wait to start a new Alt but I found out Shamans can not be Worgens so I said WTF and started on. Love me Shammy!! The LFG is awesome for leveling especially if you do quests while waiting. I am 1-44 in like a week.

One bad thing abouts Alts.. Sometimes I forget and do stupid things because I am not used to the Alt.. like last night were in Anub and I had my 80 druid. He is kinda lame but can collect herbs like a MoFo. Anyhoooo where in the first pull and I fucking hit Starfall.. LMAO. Baaadddd idea. The tank and heals were actually so good that we survived. I got called "Terribad".. YAY!!! Rest of the run was better.

It is useful to try everything in practise anyway and I like that here it's always possible to find something new. :)
